About me
Dr Ema Stancic

BSc(Osteo), MHSc(Osteo), BBNSc(Hons)

My name is Ema and I’m an Osteopath and Strength & Conditioning coach. I’m here to help you reach your goals in health, fitness and pain management. I enjoy empowering my clients with tools they can use to improve themselves, get mobile, and not only to rely on manual therapy.

I’m also passionate about mountain biking (and well, all mountain sports, to be honest - especially skiing and boarding) - and have had my fair share of injuries from it - which is what led me to Osteo in the first place. The many hours of rehab is what led me to get further qualified in Strength & Conditioning, so I can integrate treatment with an appropriate movement program for my clients. I know what it’s like to be told to give up riding after an injury when I’ve gone to get treatment - so I want to do what I can for other riders to help them get back on the bike if they can.

Other than dealing with my own injuries, I have a background as a level 2 Sports Trainer in soccer and football injuries, additional training in Dry Needling, cupping, kinesiology taping (RockTape), Functional Movement Screen (FMS level 1). My first degree was in Behavioural Neuroscience (Pharmacology), so I’m keen to figure out how things work and what we can do to change them.
